Advice on Spirits

It was getting so hot in the Wozart's cave palace that Red was starting to smell like Kentucky Fried Chicken....we had to get out of there for a while. We thanked Wozart for his help and asked if we could come back tomorrow. He said we could.

We rushed outside and breathed in the cool desert air  ...it felt so good to cool off.  Then we bedded down in the firelight glow of dragon breath and snuggled up together for the night... we were just too tired to put up our tents.

Morning came bright and early and other than Tansy mentioning she couldn't sleep for Margaret snoring, we had all had a good night. We discovered in the light of day that we had a few scorch marks on our fur, skin and feathers, we are going to have to be more careful and keep a safe distance from Wozart.

We trooped back up to the cave where our Dragon friends had toasted tamales waiting for us (it is like they have a built in BBQ)  and we sat down and had a great breakfast.  Right after breakfast Wozart summoned us and we were allowed into his throne room. We sat down quietly on the floor and the great Wozart started to speak.

He told us of the Spirits we would have to face. Dusty asked what they looked like and Wozart replied that they could take any shape and adopt any personality, including being nice for the purpose of destroying us. And then he showed us some images.......Yikes!!

We all  gasped in shock. I don't think any one of us had ever seen an evil spirit before!  Wozart counseled us that they may or may not look like these images.....they may be even worse...! I could almost hear our hearts hitting the floor. Have we got the courage to go on against such evil? What spells do we need to counteract these Spirits?

Wozart gave me a little book...he said it contained a map and some potent spells. He also said if we couldn't make the spells work we would have to call on Priscinda to help us. We thanked this great Wozard for his help ....and we told him he could be the Wozard of our Dog's Town if we were successful in finding the treasure of the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine.

The Dragons lined up to say good bye. We are on our own!

  1. Wow, Robbie, THAT was scary but Tansy is remarkably calm about it all she says, that apart from my snoring, we are all getting good sleeps and good food and are in fine shape physically so we must concentrate on being brave. Well for me that is easier said than done but Tansy will take care of me and she is wanting to look at the spells.

  2. I can't wait to see the spells and the map! What will we do when we run into those awful, evil spirits??

  3. Inka, Blue and I have every faith in your gang, Robbie. With all your heads together, you will come up with something. And so to bed--treats all around!
